Meerkats AI

Inventory

Give Meerkats stock levels from Shopify, Amazon FBA, Flipkart FBF, your warehouse or a sheet, so agents stop ad spend on products that can't ship.

Stock is the context most ad tools lack. Meerkats collects it from every connected source: Shopify stock per location, Amazon FBA units, Flipkart FBF units, quick-commerce availability per city, and anything you upload or sync from a warehouse. It computes days of cover per product and flags live ad spend on products that are out of stock or about to be.

There is no separate inventory connector to install. Connect a source that carries stock, or upload a sheet.

Before you start#

  • At least one connected source with stock (Shopify, Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, or a warehouse table), or a CSV with SKU and quantity.
  • SKUs that match across sources, or a mapping sheet if they don't.

Connect#

1. Add stock from a sheet#

  1. Prepare the file

A CSV or XLSX with columns sku, quantity and optionally location and as_of.

  2. Upload it

Go to Data Hub › Assets, select Upload and choose the file. Mark it as Inventory when asked.

  3. Map SKUs

If SKUs differ from your store or marketplace SKUs, upload a mapping sheet with sku and platform_sku columns.

What syncs#

InventoryIn Meerkats
ShopifyStock per variant per location, and inventory movements
AmazonFBA sellable, reserved, inbound and unfulfillable units per ASIN
FlipkartFBF and seller-warehouse units per FSN
Blinkit, Zepto, InstamartAvailability per SKU per city
Warehouse or sheetWhatever columns you provide, keyed by SKU

Raw data lands in Data Hub › Bronze Layer. Modelled tables, with metrics defined once, are in Data Hub › Gold Layer. Every number in a report or an agent’s answer comes from a query on these tables, never from the model’s own arithmetic.

Metrics you get#

The metrics people ask for most, named as Inventory names them. The full list, with each definition, is in the metric catalog.

How often it syncs#

Meerkats syncs on your plan's schedule: daily on Free, hourly on the $49 plan, every 30 minutes on $149 and every 15 minutes on $399. You can run a sync at any time with Resync in Data Hub › Bronze Layer.

  • Stock refreshes with each source's sync. Uploaded sheets are as fresh as the as_of column; agents show the date next to any stock figure.

What Meerkats can change#

In every connected tool, Meerkats can create, read, update and delete records, within the permissions you grant and the permissions the tool allows. These are the changes it proposes for Inventory, and the limit that applies to each.

ChangeLimit
Pause ads on an out-of-stock productProposed for approval; can run on its own once you allow it for that rule
Create a restock taskLow risk: runs on its own once allowed; it's a notification, not a platform change
Adjust Shopify stockProposed for approval

How every change is governed

Every change starts as a proposal in your Inbox. Nothing changes in the connected tool until a person approves it, unless you set that rule to act on its own.

Before it runs an approved change, Meerkats re-reads the live value. If the value moved since the proposal, it asks again instead of acting on stale data.

Meerkats stores the value it replaced, so every change can be undone from Agents run history.

Anything Meerkats creates starts paused. Switching it on is a second, separate approval.

Example automations#

Type any of these on the New automation page (Automation Agents › + New Agent).

  • “Pause Amazon and Meta ads for any SKU that hits zero FBA stock, and tell me on Slack”
  • “Email me every Monday with products under 10 days of cover that had ad spend last week”

Troubleshooting#

Days of cover looks wrong

It's units on hand divided by average daily units sold over the last 14 days. New products with few sales show high cover; check the sales window on the rule.

A SKU shows stock in Shopify but zero in Meerkats

Check the location filter. Meerkats sums the locations you selected on the Shopify connection.
